2013 Tony Nominee for Mystery of Edwin Drood and Smash Star, Mr. Will Chase, will be teaching a Musical Theatre and T.V. Workshop!

Will Chase’s Broadway credits include Mystery of Edwin Drood, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Billy Elliot, High Fidelity, Lennon, The Full Monty, Aida, Rent, Miss Saigon and The Story of My Life.

T.V. credits include NBC’s Smash, The Good Wife, Blue Bloods, Necessary Roughness, Pan Am, Royal Pains, Rescue Me, Unforgettable, One Life to Life, Guiding Light and many more.

Bring in your own audition song and perform it for Mr. Chase! He will offer feedback and coaching and work with you on honing your audition technique and presentation skills!

The second half of class will focus on television acting. Kids will be split up according to age and work with partners on cold television sides. Once again, lucky participants have the unique opportunity to perform their scenes for Mr. Chase. He will offer direction and talk with students about the difference between on-camera acting and stage acting.

Class culminates with a Q + A with this on screen and stage star! Walk away with autographs too!

Focus of Class:

• Audition Song – Bring in 16 Bars of a Musical Theatre Song to perform for Mr. Chase

• Television Scenes – Split up according to age. Kids perform their sides for Mr. Chase

• Receive Feedback and Coaching from Mr. Chase on your songs and scenes

• Q  + A with Mr. Chase. Ask questions and get a signed autograph too

Work with Broadway Star, Lilla Crawford of ANNIE fame! Lilla is a Broadway veteran at just 11 years old! Previous to starring as Annie in Annie, Lilla played Debbie in Billy Elliot on the Great White Way!  According to Lilla, it’s extrememly important that the Orphans and Annie work together as a team and so, she will be leading the group in team building acting exercises and games.

Also covered, will be scenes in which Lilla will offer feedback and constructive criticism. Then, participants learn the song and dance combination to Hard Knock Life.

As if this weren’t enough, there will be a Question and Answer Session with Lilla that is open to both kids and parents! Students get to pick Lilla’s brain about what it’s like to be a child star in the most iconic children’s musical of all time!
