Evaluation Lessons

Considering a professional career or simply want to know where your strengths and weaknesses lie? The Evaluation Lesson serves as a great blueprint as to what your next steps should be. Artistic Director/Casting Director, Jessica Rofé will work with your child in a one-hour private. After class, you will receive a thorough written report with her professional opinion.

Prepare: One-minute contemporary age appropriate monologue. Not from a musical or a compilation book of monologues. Must be from an actual published play. Bring 2 copies of your monologue. You should have it memorized. Casual dress.

Monologues to Avoid: Charlie Brown, The Fantastiks, The Wizard of Oz, and Alice in Wonderland. Nothing classical.

Try to find material that is conversational in tone.

Singers: Only if you are a singer, sing 32 bars of a musical theatre song that is age-appropriate. To be sung a cappella, meaning without accompaniment. It is preferable if you have a few song choices.

Songs to Avoid: This applies to singers only. Stay away from Wicked, Les Mis, Hairspray and anything that is meant for adult actors.

Evaluation Lessons are held at 200 W. 60th St, NY, NY
