NYC Little Guys Camp

All Skill Levels!

A Broadway actor is your child’s instructor for the week! Introduce your ‘Little Guy’ to the magic of the performing arts in this one-week musical theatre summer camp!

Every day, lucky participants rehearse song and dance numbers, learn proper singing technique and expand their theatrical knowledge under the guidance of an experienced Broadway Actor and Teaching Artist.  Campers also get to work on the props and costume pieces that will be incorporated into the final performance!

On the last day of camp, ‘Little Guys’ make their “Off-Broadway Debut” in a recital for family and friends at the studio!

Campers are sure to emerge with a new found confidence, improved technique and a greater appreciation for the performing arts!

NYC Broadway Boot Camp

All skill levels!

Broadway Stars and wonderful Music Directors are your kids instructors for the week!

A Class Act NY, Manhattan’s award winning acting studio for kids and teens is now accepting registration for performers of all skill levels, ages 7-17, to participate in our Broadway Boot Camp! Campers will be split up into three groups according to age and will work with a Broadway actor and professional music director on song and dance combos to be performed at the end of the week for friends and family!

When not in rehearsal, campers will work on improvisation skills, vocal technique, dance skills and hone their acting abilities while participating in theatrical games and exercises!   Recent and Upcoming Staff Include:  Laura Osnes, Jonathan Groff, Will Chase, Santino Fontana, Corey Cott, & Sierra Boggess.

Camp ACA is a one-week Broadway camp that has kids clamoring to come back each summer!

Workshops with Broadway Actors Include:

• Intro to Shakespeare
• Intro to Stage Combat
• Intro to Stage Make-up

During lunch break, Broadway actors visit with campers to answer questions and sign autographs!

Broadway Matinee:
July ACA campers are treated to the new Broadway musical FINDING NEVERLAND, based on the Academy Award-winning film of the same name.

August ACA campers are treated to the magnificent new Broadway production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s beloved THE KING AND I.

Off-Broadway Debut – The Final Showcase:
At the end of the week, campers make their Off-Broadway Debut in a Final Showcase at an exciting Off-Broadway Theatre in NYC!

NYC Thespian Theatre Camp

As Mr. William Shakespeare said, “The play’s the thing!”

In this craft based straight acting camp, Broadway performers work with budding thespians on scenes and monologues which will later be performed for family and friends at an exciting, state-of-the-art theatre in Manhattan!

Workshops with Broadway Actors:
When not in rehearsal for the Final Showcase, campers take one-hour workshops with Broadway actors all throughout the week.

Workshop Topics Include:
• Improvisation
• Stage Combat
• Shakespeare
• Text Analysis/Character Development
• On-Camera Audition Technique

Broadway Matinee & Talk Back:
On Wednesday, campers are treated to the acclaimed National Theatre production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME and have a “Talk Back” with actors after the show!

Off-Broadway Debut:
At the end of the week, campers make their Off-Broadway Debut in a Final Performance at an Off-Broadway Theatre in Manhattan!

A Class Act NY’s July Pre-Professional Program Summer Intensive

Space is limited to 24 Participants. This camp ends in a Final Showcase for industry professionals, including talent representatives and casting professionals.

A Class Act NY’s Pre-Professional Program is for a select group of young artists who are ready for the challenge of growing their theatre performance skills and are looking forward to exploring more advanced work.

At the end of the week, participants make their Off-Broadway Debut in a Final Performance at an exciting Theatre in Manhattan for friends, family and industry guests. The performance is designed to showcase the skills and challenging material students have mastered throughout the week.

On Wednesday, participants also see a Wednesday matinee of The Tony Award Winning KINKY BOOTS and have a “Talk Back” with actors after the show!

Pre-Professional Program faculty include Broadway Theatre Actors and Industry Professionals interested in sharing their methods and insights with those seeking to expand their craft and explore their creative expression.

A combination of classroom work and individualized private instruction will provide participants with a unique week-long experience.

Please sing 32 bars, a cappella, of a musical theatre song that is age appropriate and perform a one-minute contemporary monologue from a staged play (stay away from classical material such as Shakespeare). Click here  for self-tape guidelines and video submission instructions.
