Disney Channel Director Wendy Faraone’s On-Camera Camp

All Skill Levels! Space Is Limited! Ages 10-18!

Have you ever wanted to know what it’s like to work on a real TV series? Now’s your chance! In our new on-camera summer program, actors will experience every aspect of television acting from the audition to rehearsals to the live taping with WALK THE PRANK and LIV AND MADDIE Disney Director, Wendy Faraone!

All of the scenes used for this class will be pulled from actual sitcoms!

Brief Schedule for the Week:

Day One: The Audition
Before attending their big audition at the end of the day, students will learn the tools necessary to have a great sitcom audition!

Day Two: You BOOKED It!
Learn what to prepare and what to expect on your first day on set. Participate in a professional table read with your new scene partner!

Day Three: Rehearsal Day
Learn about blue and pink pages, blocking, & who is who on set.

Day Four: Pre-shoot Day
Learn how to handle last minute changes. Watch your rehearsal on playback and receive feedback!

Day Five: Live Audience Shoot Day!
Actors will perform their scenes for a live audience of loved ones while the camera is rolling! In addition to performing scenes, campers will also play script supervisors, wardrobe, network, 1st AD, 2nd AD, production assistants and more while fellow actors are performing their scenes for the camera and the live audience!

Each Day: Workshops with Guest Instructors!
In addition to working with Wendy, guest instructors will come in and out and work on improvisation and other on-camera skills with campers throughout the week.

Aside from directing Disney’s #1 rated series, LIV AND MADDIE and Disney XD’s WALK THE PRANK, Wendy was also the on-set coach on BEST FRIENDS WHENVER, A.N.T. FARM, WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE, SONNY WITH A CHANCE, HANNAH MONTANA & more!

Wendy is well known for creating an inviting and energetic environment in all of her classes where students are given the tools necessary to be successful, working actors in the entertainment industry. Impressively, she has recently coached all of the newly scouted talent for Disney Channel’s latest boot-camp and talent showcase!

Final Showcase: On the final day of camp, campers will perform in a Musical Revue for friends and family!

101 Dalmatians Workshop Production

All Skill Levels! Space Is Limited! Ages 5-6!

Or youngest performers will be introduced to the classic Disney tale of 101 DALMATIANS in this one-week musical theatre summer camp!

Every day, lucky campers rehearse song and dance numbers and scenes from this PAW-some musical, learn proper singing technique and expand their theatrical knowledge under the guidance of a Professional Actor/Singer and Teaching Artist.

Campers also get to craft the props and costume pieces that will be incorporated into the final performance!

Final Showcase: On the last day of camp, our performers present a workshop performance of 101 DALMATIANS for family and friends at the studio!

Focus of Camp:
• Learn fun song-and-dance numbers from 101 DALMATIANS
• Make your own props and set pieces in arts and crafts projects
• Perform in a final showcase for family and friends!

Performing Arts Experience

In this 3-day, comprehensive performing arts camp, students will learn musical theatre song and dance numbers and participate in various workshops taught by Broadway guest artists.

Final Showcase: Camp culminates in a short final presentation of song-and-dance numbers, skills learned, and a Q&A session for parents and students with the camp leader, an experienced Broadway veteran!

Sitcom Acting: Learn how to bring out the funny in comedic TV scripts!

Stage Combat: Learn how to throw a punch that will only look like it hurt!

 Character Camp

All Skill Levels! Space Is Limited! Ages 7-18 (grouped by age)!

Great for both the thespian, and the musical theatre actor!

Build a strong acting foundation!

Actors will learn how to make bold and interesting character choices. Whether it’s stage, on-camera, or voice-over acting, kids will learn to use their physicality and intellect to create compelling characters!

Instructors are On-Camera, Voice-over and Broadway actors/directors. Campers will also work with various guest artists who will teach specialized workshops!

Focus of Character Camp:
Through a variety of techniques and workshops in scene study, on-camera and voiceover technique, script analysis, physicality exercises, improvisation and more, campers will finish the week with plenty of new skills to add to their actor’s toolbox. Actors will split time between an acting studio and a professional voice-over studio!

Final Showcase: Camp culminates in a final showcase of scene work and newly learned skills for family and friends!

Cabaret Camp

All Skill Levels! Space Is Limited! Ages 7-18 (grouped by age)!

Campers will work with a Broadway Veteran and Cabaret Performer and a wonderful Music Director on learning about the art of Cabaret Performance!

Focus of Cabaret Camp:

Cabaret performance is all about showcasing the individual performer. Topics in camp will include: making a song your own, patter (the spoken lines between songs), and microphone technique.

Campers will also take workshops with visiting Broadway guest artists, see a Broadway matinee, enjoy a talkback after the show and perform in a historic Cabaret venue at the end of the week!

Broadway Dance: Learn about the fundamentals of Broadway dance while learning a combo from a Broadway Musical!

Stage Presence and Performance

Broadway Matinee & Talkback: On Wednesday, participants will be treated to a Broadway Matinee and a Talkback with actors after the show!

Off-Broadway Cabaret Performance: All campers will be featured in solos, duets, and trios as well as full cast numbers at the historic Triad Theatre in NYC!
